Why Oil Leaks Shouldn’t Be Ignored

Engine oil plays a critical role in cooling, lubricating, and protecting your engine’s internal parts. When your vehicle develops a leak, you risk:

  • Low oil levels and pressure
  • Overheating
  • Premature engine wear
  • Sensor failure
  • Complete engine breakdown

At Autoville Tire, we catch leaks early—helping you avoid expensive repairs and extend the life of your vehicle.

Common Oil Leak Repairs We Handle

We service all makes and models, and our team has extensive experience with all types of engine oil leaks. Some of the most common sources include:

Valve Cover Gasket Leak

A worn valve cover gasket can allow oil to seep onto hot engine parts, causing smoke or a burning smell. It’s a common leak we fix daily.

Oil Pan Gasket or Cracked Pan

Located at the bottom of your engine, the oil pan is prone to damage from potholes or road debris. A cracked pan or failed gasket will leave oil pooling under your vehicle.

Rear Main Seal Leak

This major seal is found between your engine and transmission. When it fails, it can cause heavy oil loss—and in manual vehicles, may even ruin the clutch.

Oil Filter or Drain Plug Leak

Simple oversights during an oil change, like a loose filter or damaged drain plug washer, can result in slow leaks. We’ll inspect and correct the issue quickly.

No matter the cause, we’ll perform a thorough inspection and provide honest recommendations to resolve the problem fast.

Last weekend, the Autoville Tire & Car Care family gathered for our first annual company crawfish boil, and what an event it was! It wasn’t just about the delicious crawfish; the day was packed with laughter, camaraderie, and some friendly but fierce competition. One of the highlights of the event was the introduction of a unique trophy, crafted by one of our talented technicians from old car parts. This trophy has quickly become a symbol of pride within Autoville. The games were structured as a series of team-building challenges, pitting shop against shop in a spirited showdown. With teams made up of employees and their families—including spouses and older kids—the competitive spirit was high. Each game ended with the victorious team members each receiving a $50 Amazon gift card, ramping up the stakes and the fun! After three intense games, the overall winners earned the right to take the trophy back to their shop, where it will be proudly displayed until next year’s event. Inspired by the tradition of the Stanley Cup, our Autoville trophy will travel annually to the shop of the winning team. The current holders have even proposed painting it gold—a true sign of its worth and significance! Looking ahead, we plan to make the trophy a staple at our triannual company meetings, where it can be flaunted for bragging rights—a lighthearted reminder of our shared goals and achievements. This crawfish boil was more than just a gathering; it was a testament to the strength of our team and the bonds we continue to build. Here’s to many more years of tradition, teamwork, and, of course, crawfish!
